Arc Greater Mid Cities

Arc Greater Mid Cities, an all volunteer organization, is an affiliated chapter of The Arc of the United States and The Arc of Texas. MISSION - Arc Greater Mid Cities empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to live life as they define it through advocacy, awareness, training and support. VISION - Arc Greater Mid Cities envisions an inclusive society where people with intellectual and development disabilities live self-determined lives. WHO WE SERVE Arc GMC serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and the community. In 2016 Arc GMC maintained a data base of over 1900 people to whom we provided information and support. FUNDING Arc GMC is funded through grants, donations and fundraising. HISTORY Arc GMC was established in 1971 by a group of parents who joined forces to advocate for their childrens right to be educated in the public school system.
