Amaltas was set up in December 2006 to develop intellectual capital and innovative approaches for development. Registered as a privately held company, Amaltas Consulting Private Limited is named after the glorious Indian laburnum that is ubiquitous in the region. Our three verticals: Amaltas Consulting, The Research Group and Springbox have implemented a portfolio of more than 40 projects which span such areas as health, womens health, social development, inclusion of sexual minorities, water and sanitation and research quality. We work with UN bodies, the World Bank, IDRC, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation among others. We support countries and states in South and East Asia to generate innovative strategies to reduce poverty and inequities. Amaltas helps governments and donors to monitor performance and assess the impact of their work.
