Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) was formed in 1953 following the amalgamation of three dairy co-operatives and three dairy companies across Prince Edward Island. ADL employs 355 Islanders and operates five processing facilities across PEI making butter, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, fluid milk products, cheddar cheese and specialty cheese products. ADLs cheese production facility is one of the largest specialty cheese plants in Canada. The majority of ADL production is for private label business.
