At the Alliance of Concerned Men, we believe in the power of community. Thats why our dedicated staff and volunteers provide over 7,000 youth and their families with a comprehensive network of monthly services to implement trusted leadership, counseling, mentoring, youth violence and gang intervention, and social uplift programs to create lasting positive change. Believing that solutions to community problems often arise from within, ACM recognizes the substantial amount of formerly incarcerated individuals in Washington, D.C. as a critical part of the solution to gun violence. Those whove experienced significant personal transformation during incarceration return to their communities eager to make a positive impact economically, educationally, and socially for youth and young adultswho are statistically most at risk of becoming perpetrators and/or victims of gun violence.
