The Alliance Francaise of Johannesburg was created in 1950 and was the second Alliance Francaise to open in South Africa after the Alliance Francaise of Durban was founded in 1936. The Alliance Francaise of Johannesburg is a South African non-profit and public benefit organisation. Our mission is to promote the French language as well as cultural diversity.
