Thats why were on a mission to place and support doctors who want to serve in resource-poor environments while simultaneously growing personally and professionally. AHP started in 2005. Back then, we were a small but determined unit with a dream as simple as it was challenging: to recruit doctors to work in South Africas drastically understaffed rural hospitals. Since then the team has grown and our focus has evolved. From recruiting 10 British doctors in our first year, we now place hundreds of local and international doctors annually more than 4,100 in total matching a diversity of skills and interests to local needs.
