African Minerals Limited is a minerals exploration and development company with significant interests in Sierra Leone. It is listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange, and is now headquartered in London, United Kingdom. The Company is currently focused on the development of the world class iron ore deposit at Tonkolili and its related rail and port infrastructure. The project is the largest employer in Sierra Leone and is set to become the largest contributor to the countrys GDP. The flagship project comprises the Tonkolili iron ore deposit and additional associated 200 km rail and port infrastructure in central Sierra Leone. Tonkolili currently has a JORC compliant ore resource of 12.8Bnt which extends over a combined strike length of 30km, and includes a substantial Direct Shipping Ore and Saprolite mineral resource overlying a very large magnetite orebody
