Abhyuday | The Social Body of IIT Bombay

Abhyuday, IIT Bombay is a student run organization working towards creating a sense of Social Responsibility and Leadership among the youth of India. Abhyuday was conceptualized as a movement by socially conscious students and professors of IIT Bombay in the years 2011 and 2012 in support of the Anti-Corruption and Womens Right protests then going on in the country. Deriving its name from the Sanskrit word meaning The Rising, Abhyuday has established itself as Indias Largest Students Body for Social Development in the mere span of time. Taking forward IIT Bombays Senate mandated requirement of participating in Student Gymkhana activities of Sports, Culture and Social Service, Abhyuday serves as an avenue for students to start their journey of self-development while contributing towards the Society.
