Gwalior Municipal Corporation

Gwalior Municipal Corporation is the governing body of the city of Gwalior in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The municipal corporation consists of democratically elected members, is headed by a mayor and administers the citys infrastructure and public services. Members from the states leading various political parties hold elected offices in the corporation. The city is currently divided into 66 wards. Each ward elects a corporator. The winning party elects a council of members, who are responsible for various departments. The council members chose the Mayor among themselves. At present, there are sixty one members in the council.
