The History of Private Security Companies in Bangladesh is not very old. Although in the developed countries it dates back to a century. Service of private Security Company was felt necessary because Government law enforcing agencies were busy with more important assignments and could not meet the service requirements of public as per their needs. Deteriorating Law & Order and over increasing terrorism around the world made the risk owners concerned about their security threat and cater for remedial measures. At this juncture, private security companies emerged and got a positive response from public and gained ground for marketing security guards and allied security services. The private security companies in Bangladesh, employed by the risk owners to take care of their total security problems, but practically they could only provide guarding services that too with the poorly trained guards.
